I don't know if there is a correlation or not, but around the time we started feeding Kayla the rice cereal she has been getting up at 2:00 am for a bottle. We were spoiled with her sleeping through the night since she was 3 months old. It had to come to an end sometime. I've been waiting for the 6 month mark so we can feed her baby food, maybe that will help. I did the grocery shopping last week and when I went down the baby aisle at the store all this baby food "fell" into my cart. I've been itching to feed Kayla some real food, and Cathy finally agreed. It went very well, Kayla loves sweet potatoes. It doesn't look like we are going to have much trouble to get Kayla to eat. I'm pretty sure she gets this from me, but I don't know if it is a good thing or not. She really won't like having my "6 pack" when she gets older. In my baby book there was a question something like, what kind or food does he like/dislike? The answer says it all. Brent will eat anything, he has not refused anything we have given him. I'm not really sure what "anything" is, but I hope it was just different kinds of baby food and not dog food or worms! It has been a couple hours since she ate and everything is fine. Then I realized why Cathy agreed to allow me to feed her tonight. I'm staying home with her tomorrow....I'll get the first diaper after solid food. I have heard bad things about this, but don't worry I took care of it. I had a little chat with Kayla and she is going to wait until mom gets home from work! Here are some pictures of the sweet potatoes and Kayla playing.

Here is Kayla getting her fist bites of sweet potatoes!
We're not sure what is up with the crazy tongue, but we hope it is a short phase becasue it isn't very attractive.

wow, she is growing up so fast! I love the sweet potatoe pictures.
I have no idea what she's doing with her little baby tongue, but that's one of the funniest things I've ever seen!
