9 months, a haircut, and the Zoo

Zoe is 9 months old. Boy does time fly, especially when we only post every 5 weeks! To avoid getting in trouble I'm going to try and post more often or train one of the girls to start posting. Zoe's stats at 9 months are 19.81 lbs (67%) and 27.75 in (56%) tall. She finally got a third tooth to join the other two on the bottom. It was a rough week while she was teething, and we are praying it is not going to be this way for all her teeth.












Kayla got her first haircut at 22 months old. Ryan thinks it is because I am cheap and will not pay the $12 to have her haircut. I am not in charge of haircuts, but I am all for once ever 22 months or so. Her hair is super fine and has grown in pretty well so we only took an inch off the back to even everything out. She doesn't have bangs which is not going over well with grammy. Hopefully Kayla will forgive us when she is older. She did really well during the haircut. She zoned out and did not move or make a peep during the 7 min cut (@ $12=$102.57/hr MR. ACCOUNTANT) Now who is cheap having the babysitter cut their daughters hair?!?!?!? Any who, when she was done with the haircut I unbuckled her and tried to take her out of the car/chair. That's when she got upset, she did not want to leave the car. Then the stylist asks if she can have a balloon and she was out the the chair in a flash.

We went to the Cincinnati zoo to check out the animals and the 90,000 tulips for zoo blooms. The 20 min car ride consisted of Kayla looking out the window and repeating NO ANIMALS. She was right there were not any animals along the highway, but she was very excited to see all the animals when we finally made it to the zoo. Kayla also said zoo, but refuses to say Zoe she always says baby. Zoe also liked the zoo and got to see a lot animals because it was cool in the morning and they were all out and about. The zoo got two new manatees a couple weeks ago so we got to check them out. It is amazing how small a 450 pound animal can look small after see 650+ pound manatees for a couple years. We also got to see the 6 week old baby bongo that made her first appearance the day before.
