This post is way later than I had planned, but I think we are just starting to recover from traveling to IL for Kayla's second b-day. We went up to Brooke and Ryan's new house Thursday night and stayed with them. Our girls were scared to death of the dogs, but did eventually adjust by the time we left Friday afternoon. Kristi and Addie came up Friday morning and we all headed up to the Shedd Aquarium. The aquarium was a lot of fun and went very well considering we had 5 kids 2 and under with us. We had 5 adults and a double stroller so we were able to trade kids in strollers and kids walking and everyone stayed pretty happy. Saturday morning we visited Grandma and Grandpa Hindle and got to see to goose that floated in when the creek flooded. It is a domesticated white goose that can hardly swim and has the most annoying squawk, not to mention all the goose poop every where. Watch mom chase the goose was priceless. Saturday afternoon we had Kayla's party at Barry and Kristi's new house. The forecast was for rain and storms, but the weather was nice while we were there. We took the girls outside for awhile and Kennedy decided she was ready to go in the pool. After one kid in the pool with clothes on we stripped the rest of them down and let them play. Naked babies playing in the pool in the back yard is acceptable. Ryan and Barry decided to take Addie and Kennedy on a wagon ride and ended up in the park down the street. The other kids wondered why they were naked. Starting to get a little Hillbilly, but the do live in Ottawa so...!!! We left the girls stripped down for the pizza and cake before we finally put clothes on them again. I hope everyone had as much fun as the girls did. We made it home and on Tuesday we had two nephews born on the same day. We are still working on recovering from the trip. Both girls are getting new teeth, Kayla's 2 year molars are showing up right on time and Zoe is starting to get a few more teeth. Zoe is definitely ready for cake at her birthday and may be ready for some steak!
Happy 2nd Birthday Kayla!

"The Story of Mother Goose"

The goose got away, and when I talked to mom a week later she was still chasing him! They have found someone to take in the wayward goose, but have to catch him first!
