We recently made a trip to IL for Addie's baptism and for Brooke and Ryan's 30th birthday party. Yes, they are really both 30th along with Aaron and Cathy. Kelli and I still have years left in our twenties, and try not to let the old fogies slow us down! The party Saturday and the kids played pretty well together. It was cute to see the 3 cousins together and to see Kayla and Drew play together. Kayla isn't around other kids that often, but loves kids that can play. Sunday was the baptism and everyone did pretty well during the baptism. Each one cried a little, but is was short lived and they moved on. After the baptism we stopped at my grandparents to change for the drive home, and took the new paddle boat for a spin. Kayla wasn't to sure about it, but didn't hate it. During the second lap around she actually fell asleep for a minute. We made it back safely and started planning the birthday party. No petting zoo, but I'm sure it will be fun anyway. Memorial Day weekend we went to the zoo on Sunday and Kayla LOVED the petting zoo!! Cathy worked Memorial day because the babysitter needs the day off Wednesday so Cathy will take off then. We had Julie come babysit on Monday and Tuesday so I could do projects around the house before the new baby arrives. I've done a lot, but I don't know if I've completed much or just have a lot of half done projects. Hopefully I'll get things finished soon.
The new baby is scheduled to arrive on July 7, 2009. Cathy is having a C-section and they fill up fast so it is scheduled unless she decides to make an appearance earlier. We may need every day we can get to decide on a name. We have been having a lot of trouble this time. Nothing jumps out to both of us. We are close on a name, but can't find a middle name to go with it. Since we've gone this long without a name we aren't going to tell anyone until she is born. We may not know until then anyway.
Time to Play!

Baptism

Kayla's on Eastern time and it was past her lunch time!

Paddle Boat!

Look at the kids playing outside!

I LOVE THE PETTING ZOO!

Birthday idea, a water table so the poor kid doesn't have to put her bathing suit on to play in a bowl of water!

A quick pic during the 2 minutes she actually liked her sunglasses (check out the shirt too!) Little Miss Attitude!
