1 Week Old and First Doctors Appt

Zoe is 1 week old, and had her first doctors appointment today. She was done to 8 lbs 11 oz when we left the hospital. Since all she does is eat and sleep she is already back up to 8 lbs 15 oz and is 21 1/4 inches long. She is in the 90th percentile for height and somewhere above the 75th for weight. She is doing so well that the doctor said we could cancel the 1 month appointment unless we have a concern and want to bring her back for a check up. If nothing concerns us we don't have to go back until the 2 month appointment for her first round of shots.

Kayla is adjusting to having Zoe around. When Zoe is awake and playing on the floor Kayla keeps her eye on her, but usually doesn't bother her. If she is sleeping in the pack and play Kayla can peek in the sides and check up on her as she is running by. Zoe is not a big fan of her crib at night, but will sleep anywhere during the day. She wakes up when Kayla goes to bed and is a night owl. I think she knows its only safe for her to be awake while Kayla is sleeping and it is a survival technique. I hope she grows out of it soon and starts sleeping more at night.
